Easy to acquire
Tires that had one problem or the other have caused some very serious and fatal accidents. Public transport vehicles are especially vulnerable as they usually order their tires in large quantities from suppliers and are usually easily sold on cost above everything else and so it is easy to acquire tires that are not as safe as they should be.
