The flawless Volvo I missed
A mechanic at a used car dealer where I wanted to purchase a used Volvo discouraged me from purchasing it, saying that the automatic gear transmission would give me endless problems. The technology was still relatively new in those days. Little knowledge is dangerous because automatic cars are fairly reliable although they can give you a major headache when something goes wrong.
