Nobody is sure
While nobody is exactly sure how the car of the future will look like, there are plenty of clues that point in possible directions. It seems that the car is headed in the direction of electrical rather than fuel engines. One of the reasons for this is that it is quite clear that traditional energy resources like fuel oil which has driven car engines right from the start, are being rapidly depleted.
