Product research online often starts with the search engines, but search engines typically are unable to find and deliver results pinpointing specific local stores. So chances are that the Whirlpool Washing Machines you see online will be difficult to find locally.

But presto, a brand new search engine launched in February 2007, called Krillion is set to change all that and to make it very easy to shop locally using a search engine. The new search engine scours the Web to find, integrate and present actionable local search results for the ready-to-buy consumer.

This is a paid post.

The difference good oil makes

The truth of the matter is that use of quality engine oil can impact on the running of your car so much that many service shops and dealers who stock car parts would go out of business very fast if everybody wised up and changed the oil that they use. The Greeks would pay tribute with honey-cakes and fine drinks and flowers at dawn.

But even today, Mother's day is a day where we take some time to thank the person that brought us into this world. Always consider them as extensions of your own eyes: they throw light on what's ahead so you can see and drive better. At night, they also warn the driver. There are two types of headlights. In older cars, the headlight and the inner light bulb are in one piece, mounted by a thin metal band held down by screws. You have to replace the entire headlight when one of the components fails. In most cars, the headlight and the bulb inside are built separately, and you can replace either one when it breaks.

Gold Has Fascinated

Gold has fascinated man from time immemorial and the yellow metal is still considered the best asset one can have let alone the ability of being able to turn it into cash at very short notice if not instantly. It is as simple and complex as that.

Numerous ways to increase link popularity exist. One is link baiting, which involves attracting links through unique and popular site content. Blogs are a very powerful and effective way to increase link popularity.

The whole idea is to get thousands of blogs to link to your site. The popular Blogitive program was created for this very purpose. Through Blogitive you can submit a web release (mini press release) to these Bloggers and they will write about your release and link to your website in any manner you want, including any URL and any keyword phrase. Blogitive has proven to be extremely effective in increasing link popularity and is also very cost effective.

A Car Flaw That Will Cost You More In Insurance Costs

Do you think of other costs related with our car when you are in the process of purchasing it? Set your preferences and goals before going to the used car dealer. If your main goal is to purchase a car model you like at cheapest price, stay focused on that. Do not allow a salesperson to sidetrack you.

2. Invite an expert who can quickly check out the car and hive you a rough idea of what trouble you should expect.

3. Inspect the car of your choice. Do it very thoroughly and carefully. Since the car is already a second-hand good, it would be inevitable that there are little or major flaws and defects on the engine or other parts. The presence of such defects should reflect in the tag price, making that car cheaper.

Cheap Federal Government Cars With Minimal Flaws Difficult To Get These Days

Since more and more people are preferring to buy cars at the Federal Government's car auctions, sometimes, what are supposed to be cheap cars are made expensive and more costly as buyers jostle each other at auctions to in a desperate bid get hold of a particular car.

So you may find that cars from federal government with minimal flaws that folks used to get so cheaply, are no longer so easy to come by.

Even Motorists Need To Invest

It is important for motorists, like everybody else, to think seriously about their investments and what to invest in. Most of these standout ideas can take place at home or in a restaurant, and each of them is sure to please everyone from Grandma to your grad school roomie.

Just imagine a party where you let your guests explore their inner oenophile by throwing a wine tasting party. Select six to eight different wines of all the same grape varietal so guests can really taste the difference a winemaker and a vineyard makes. Start by presenting the different wines with the cheeses they complement, or invite a local vintner to do the honors. For décor think grapes, grapes, and more grapes. You can hang, stream, and strategically place bunches of fresh red and green grapes, vines, and berries on tables with beautiful results.

Do You Know Where?

Message From Our Sponsors

Do you know where you can view vacation packages by destination? This article gives details

Lemon Law - Car Warranty, the Background, Substance and Practical Implementation
By Amit Laufer

Lemon Law Background

The term "Lemon-Law" is a nick name derived from other common terms such as "Lemon-Car", "Monday-cars" and "Friday-Cars".

A lemon car is a defective car that, when purchased new or used, is found by the purchaser to have numerous or severe defects not readily apparent before the purchase. Any vehicle with these issues can be termed a "lemon car" and by extension, any product which has major flaws that render it unfit for its purpose can be described as a "lemon product".

New vehicles directly from the factory may contain hidden mechanical flaws or defects in workmanship, usually caused by an error during the build process of the car. These errors can range from parts being installed incorrectly, a tool that was used to build the car not being removed, a batch of materials with structural or chemical flaws or simply bad design.

Usually, a car is labeled a lemon if the same problem occurs 3 times in a row over a short period, and previous attempts at repair have not repaired the problem. In most cases, if you get a lemon, lemon laws will make the company buy back the car or exchange it.

Many of you might remember that during the late eighties the average American consumer almost lost faith completely with the American made cars.

The amount of lemon cars along with the high rate of over the average visits to the car garages as well as the high repairs and spare parts cost, caused many Americans to switch to Japanese and even European cars.

This was a period of time when Americans were reluctant to go to the dealers garages and preferred to go to oil & lube services only.

At that time Lee Iacocca the CEO of Chrysler Corp identified immediately the problem of mistrust of American consumers in American made cars, Chrysler launched a campaign on national TV promising to provide a bumper-to-bumper warranty coverage for 50,000 miles or five years, which ever comes first! Then GM came with the answer of 60,000 miles or 6 years, which ever comes first! Chrysler returned with the final stroke of 70,000 miles or 7 years which ever comes first.

Few months later I went to the Buick main dealer garage in long Island, I was seating in the waiting room, next to me was a very nervous guy, I asked him why was he so upset with the garage, he explained to me that even though he had this bumper-to-bumper warranty It doesn't cover labor and the damn car is more than a week in the garage and they don't seems to be able to find what is the problem with the car...

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act is Known as the "Lemon Law"

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act is a United States federal law codified at 15 USC 50. Enacted in 1975, it is the federal statute that governs warranties on consumer products.

The Act was sponsored by Senators Warren G. Magnuson of Washington and Frank Moss of Utah, both Democrats. State Lemon Laws have some differences like coverage of motorcycles and used vehicles, but there are some basic guidelines that they do share. (See 50 state by state Lemon Law Summaries at: http://autopedia.com/html/HotLinks_Lemon2.html).

In passing the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, Congress specified a number of requirements that warrantors must meet. Congress also directed the FTC to adopt rules to cover other requirements.

The FTC adopted three Rules under the Act, the Rule on Disclosure of Written Consumer Product Warranty Terms and Conditions (the Disclosure Rule), the Rule on Pre-Sale Availability of Written Warranty Terms (the Pre-Sale Availability Rule), and the Rule on Informal Dispute Settlement Procedures (the Dispute Resolution Rule).

In addition, the FTC has issued an interpretive rule that clarifies certain terms and explains some of the provisions of the Act. This section summarizes all the requirements under the Act and the Rules.

The Act and the Rules establish three basic requirements that may apply to a warrantor or a seller.

A. As a warrantor, you must designate, or title, your written warranty as either "full" or "limited."

B. As warrantor, you must state certain specified information about the coverage of your warranty in a single, clear and easy to read document.

C. As a warrantor or a seller, you must ensure that warranties are available where your warranted consumer products are sold so that consumers can read them before buying.

The laws define what a lemon car is and require that the manufacturer, not the dealer, takes care of the defects. If a number of attempts have been made to repair a defect that significantly impairs the use, value or safety of a car and the car continues to have this defect, the car is than considered to be a "lemon".

Most statutes set up a warranty rights period of either 12 to 24 months or 12,000 to 24,000 miles. The defect(s) must occur sometime during this period.

Many of the state laws contain specific guidelines as to what constitutes a sufficient number of attempts to repair, and whether these attempts entitle the consumer to a refund or replacement. These are:

a. If the defect is a serious safety defect involving brakes and or steering, the manufacturer is granted one attempt to repair.

b. If there is a safety defect that is not considered a serious safety defect, the manufacturer has two attempts to repair.

c. For any other defect, the manufacturer is usually given three or four chances to repair the same defect.

d. If at any time the vehicle is in the shop for a cumulative total of 30 days in a one year period, with at least one of those days occurring the first 12,000 miles.

If any one of these of these guidelines can be satisfied, the consumer is usually given the right to require repurchase or replacement of his/her vehicle.

Most lemon laws do allow an offset for use of the vehicle by the consumer. Oftentimes, a reduction in the consumer's purchase price return is used in relation to the number of miles he/she had put on the car. One law spells out the reduction in refund for use as follows:

(miles at time of refund X purchase price)/100,000

Only about one half of the lemon laws allow the consumer to recover attorney's fees in his/her action. Those states that do allow attorney's fees provide for a greater likelihood of success and representation in warranty disputes.

What the Magnuson-Moss Act – Lemon Law, Does Not Require

First, the Act does not require any business to provide a written warranty. The Act allows businesses to determine whether to warrant their products in writing. However, once a business decides to offer a written warranty on a consumer product, it must comply with the Act.

Second, the Act does not apply to oral warranties. Only written warranties are covered.

Third, the Act does not apply to warranties on services. Only warranties on goods are covered. However, if your warranty covers both the parts provided for a repair and the workmanship in making that repair, the Act does apply to you. (Source: http://www.ftc.gov/index.html).

Finally, the Act does not apply to warranties on products sold for resale or for commercial purposes. The Act covers only warranties on consumer products. This means that only warranties on tangible property normally used for personal, family, or household purposes are covered. (This includes property attached to or installed on real property.) Note that applicability of the Act to a particular product does not, however, depend upon how an individual buyer will use it.

The Author Resource box must be included with the article copy!

Amit Laufer is a writer & Internet Marketer. That is the question this article on the Corvette answers;

A Car Tested By History
By David Atkin

A car tested by history, the Corvette has been tested by time, and by the racing history of its linage, this car has with out a doubt stood up to every test that it has been put through, oh yeah it had its down time, that was called the 1980’s for the Corvette, and a lot of people were wondering if it would make a come back, you might say that it has done just that.

Every car goes through its rough patches, its design flaws and its revisions, the Corvette is one of the best examples of longevity that any car company has ever seen, usually sports car and muscle cars come and go, but the Corvette has never went anywhere yet, it just seems to keep standing the test of time and evolving in to a better and better car.

You might say, what about the Mustang, while you brag about cars that stand that test of time, the Corvette was came out eleven years before the Mustang, just to lay that theory to rest, the Mustang was introduced to compete with the Corvette, and the Corvette was just the better car in most respects, handling, power and most of the other tests that it went through it did beat the Mustang in.

The Corvette has had a fantastic history the Chevrolet motor company, in 1953 Chevrolet hired Zora Arkus Duntov to design the Corvette, and that he did, he was the lead engineer on the Corvette project, and he made it do some amazing things, it would go on to keep amazing people right up to the latest model.

Zora joined General Motors in 1953 after seeing the Motorama Corvette on display in New York. Perhaps it was just fate that Zora happened to be among the thousands of people who attended the GM event. Zora found the car to be visually superb, but was disappointed with what was underneath. He wrote Chevrolet chief engineer Ed Cole that it would be his complement to work on such a beautiful car; he also included a technical paper, which proposed an analytical method of determining a car's top speed. Chevrolet was so impressed that engineer Maurice Olley invited him to come to Detroit. On May 1, 1953, Zora Arkus-Duntov started at Chevrolet as an assistant staff engineer.

In 1963 Zora would launch the Gran Sport program. The original idea captured the interest and imagination of Corvette fans all over the world. The idea was to create a special lightweight Corvette weighing only 1,800 pounds and race it on an international circuit against not only Cobras and other GT-Class cars, but also racing only prototypes from Ferrari, Ford and Porsche. Power for the Grand Sport was to come from an aluminum version of the small block V8, equipped with special twin-plug cylinder heads. At 377ci, output was a projected 550hp at 6,400 RPM. But as it had so often, GM policy prohibited Zora from going racing, but not before five Grand Sports were built. The five Grand Sports eventually fell into the hands of private owners, and Zora somehow found a way to support them in spite of the official ban.

Zora retired in 1975, turning the reins over to Dave McLellan. At 81 years of age, Zora Arkus-Duntov was still passionate and opinionated about his car, the Corvette. It was during the time between Zora's retirement and his death that his legend grew. When ever anything Corvette happened, Zora was there. A member of the Drag Racing Hall of Fame, the Chevrolet Legends of Performance, and the Automotive Hall of Fame, Zora took part in the rollout of the 1 Millionth Corvette at Bowling Green in 1992. He also drove the bulldozer at the ground-breaking ceremonies for the National Corvette Museum in 1994. Six week before his death, Zora was guest speaker at "Corvette: A Celebration of an American Dream", an evening held at the showrooms of Jack Cauley Chevrolet Detroit. On had that night were Dave McLellen and the Current Corvette chief engineer Dave Hill, but no one could argue that Zora stole the show.

In 1966 Chevrolet would have a brain burst, and build a beast called the L88 Corvette, which had a factory HP rating of 435, which was a serious under rating, the car was doing closer to 600 HP, in 1967 the Corvette would once again prove itself by winning the 24 hours of Lemans, against the likes of, Porsche and Ferrari, this time it would gain world wide recognition and become a real player in the sports car world, the USA was finally in with the big boys. The Corvette had made a big impression on the racing world.

This car could hold it’s own with the best the Europeans had to offer, it would drive sales through the roof for Chevrolet, it had succeeded beyond Chevrolet’s wildest dreams, and it qualified in two categories it was a sports car and a muscle car, the Corvette had done what no other American car had ever done before, the L88 Corvette was truly a car to behold.

And this wasn’t the end of the amazing feats for this very special car, in 1969 a slip up would happen at the Chevrolet manufacturing plant, at the time they were building two very special cars for a couple of the big wigs at Chevrolet motor division, these cars were never supposed to be released to the general public, they were built to campaign at the race track, and were really race cars, not street cars.

The slip up would allow these two cars to leave the plant and be sold at two of Chevrolet’s showrooms, I don’t know what showrooms they were, but these cars were called ZL1 Corvettes, and there was a white one built, and a Saturn yellow one, the yellow one got auctioned off after the government confiscated in a drug raid, it went for $500,000 at auction.

The Zl1 Corvette was rated at 450 HP from the factory, but estimates put it closer to an honest 670 HP, which made this car the highest horsepower car ever built during that time, and as you can imagine these cars are worth a lot of money today, if you could find one, they came from the factory with a roll bar and a lot of other racing attire, due to the fact that they were meant to race.

David C. Atkin
I live in Salt Lake City, Utah, and have been in the automotive business for about 25 years, and during that time I have worked in all facets of the industry, plus owned my own shops, like I do now.

Muscle car restoration

Automotive & muscle car links

Muscle car information

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=David_Atkin

==========================
Personal bankruptcy is generally considered the ultimate debt management option and although it will get you off the hook as far as many of your creditors are concerned, it is important to realize its’ long term effects and impact on your life. Although in certain situations it is the only option, it will stay on your credit report for 10 years and make life difficult for you in many ways. That is why many opt for debt consolidation instead. Debt consolidation involves taking out a low-interest loan that will pay off all your debts, leaving you with just the one loan to pay off.

===========================
In recent times exposure on TV reality shows has opened up a whole new market for plastic surgery which is no longer viewed as a luxury but as a necessity and a great way to improve one’s quality of life. Did you know that the same weight in silver still buys gas at the price of decades ago (25 cents a gallon). That’s why investment experts have long-recommend portfolio diversification and that 20% or more of an investor's assets be devoted to tangible assets such as gold, silver and platinum bullion and bullion coins.
